Wine, Food and Farmgate

Wine, Food and Farmgate Trail

One of the fantastic things about the Mornington Peninsula are the number of hidden wineries, eateries, producers and farmgate experiences waiting to be explored. Of course the challenge is often in uncovering these hidden gems to be experienced! Fortunately now these have been brought together in a new ‘Wine, Food and Farmgate Trail’ experience.

It’s the most extensive wine and food program ever created on the Peninsula, featuring chefs and restaurants, vignerons and vineyards, producers, growers, orchardists and gourmet storeowners.

There’s a magnificent book, an extensive website, create-your-own food and wine trails, trail kit, mini cooler bag, regional recipe cards and lots of seasonal experiences.

Stellar cellar doors

With more than 50 cellar doors, it’s best to plan a personalised food and wine trail. You can sample wines including our star Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, enjoy an intimate tasting experience, a casual lunch or fine dining.

Epicurean epicentre

Everything from our four Chef’s Hats restaurants to chic cafes, cool bars, seaside eateries, boutique pubs and restaurants overlooking the vines. Traditional general stores have a contemporary twist, and lots of artisans producers sell specialty chocolates, honey, olive oil, fudge, bread and much more.

Freshest at the farmgate

Pick your own cherries and strawberries in summer, indulge in handmade cheese at a dairy, buy the crunchiest apples, fresh herbs, vegetables, housemade sausages and whole hampers of local goodies.

Come stay at Havana and enjoy all the Mornington Peninsula has to offer!

Why not come down and stay for a weekend or even a week and enjoy the spectacular Mornington Peninsula region?  As an added bonus, mention this post when you book and we’ll arrange a special treat basket for you when you arrive!
